A rapid growth industry, tourism is able to provide significant economic contributions to society. UNWTO forecasts 1.6 billion international arrivals by 2020 with receipts of 2 trillion USD. To cater to this growing trend, GIME offers the bachelor of science degree in tourism management. The aim of this program is to enhance the theoretical and practical abilities of the students, enabling them to work professionally in the tourism and hospitality industry. In this program, students not only take courses in tourism and management, but can also enjoy a rich and substantial industry experience. GIME has established tight connections with many local and international companies in the tourism and hospitality industry. Successful
graduates from this program are expected to have a strong global perspective and to become future leaders and professionals in the tourism world. Leisure and services, Airline Management,
and Tourism Planning directions are set up.
GIME will provide internship opportunities for our senior students in this program. The companies combine both local organizations and multinational corporations. Students can participate in and experience organizational culture within Chinese business environment. For our Tourism Management program specifically, students who study in the program have an opportunity to complete their internships in world famous hotel & resort corporations in Dalian, including Kempinski Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Hilton Hotel and Castle Hotel attached to Marriott Group.

Applicants with IELTS 5.0 or below can enroll on Foundation courses prior to commencing their studies.
